“Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.” Matthew 9:35, NIV.
Years ago I was sitting in the car talking with my husband and my parents. We had just returned from a DOTK ministry trip. As we sat in the car discussing the trip, we saw a car swerve around the curve very fast. We watched in terror as the car, with four people in it, flipped upside down over a wooded embankment. Immediately my husband ran down the road to the car to rescue them. Before he began pulling anyone out, he prayed for them that God would help him save them. And one by one, he pulled all four of them out of the vehicle. People twice his size. People who were afraid and crying. People who needed help. Eventually the ambulance came and all of the people in that car was saved and ready to be taken to the hospital. Praise God!
In this day and time, some people are running away from the problem. But I thank God for those who are courageous enough to run toward the problem of this world.
My sister, God wants to use you to rescue and bring healing to the lost and hurting. Just as my husband pulled those people out of that car one by one, you will win people to the LORD one by one. He will fill your heart, He will fill your mouth, and He will give you boldness. He has given you His power to pull people out of the grip of the enemy! He is with you in a great way!
Prayer: Father God, thank you for saving me. Now, please help me go and rescue others. Fill my heart with your love, fill my mouth with the words to say, and give me a sense of urgency in winning this generation to Christ, one by one. Thank you that you are with me. In Jesus’ name.
