A fresh wind and a fresh fire!

“Then he said to me, “Prophesy over these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live” Ezekiel 37:4-5 , ESV.

One evening while praying with a dear friend, the Holy Spirit took over and we began to prophesy into eachother’s lives. When it came time for her to speak over me, I’ll never forget her words…

“Lord, give her a fresh wind and a fresh fire!”

She didn’t know that short, but powerful phrase would have such a profound impact on my life.

I believe that’s what we need today—God’s fresh wind and His fresh fire. Many of us have become dry. Lifeless. Stale and stagnant. We’ve gone inward, rather than reaching outward. We’ve lost our glow. But praise the Lord when we reach this point in life, we are not hopeless! We are not without help! By God’s Spirit, He breathes on us and revives us again. He restores our soul and our passion for the things of God. He gives us a fresh wind and a fresh fire. Not to waste. But to go out and change this world for His glory!

Prayer: Father, thank You for speaking to my heart. Revive me! No more stale living. No more stagnancy. No more dryness. Breathe on me God. Restore my passion for You and all that You’re about. Give me a fresh wind and a fresh fire so I can do the work You sent me here to do. Be glorified in me and be glorified in the earth! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
