A Prayer for You

“In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [draw your strength from Him and be empowered through your union with Him] and in the power of His [boundless] might. Put on the full armor of God [for His precepts are like the splendid armor of a heavily-armed soldier], so that you may be able to [successfully] stand up against all the schemes and the strategies and the deceits of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places” Ephesians 6:10-12, Amplified.

“Father God, I pray for my sister who is reading this now. Reminding her by your Holy Spirit that her strength comes directly from her relationship with you. Empower her Lord and help her put on the full armor. Help her not to fall for the tricks of the devil, but successfully stand against him. Help her to resist him, not you. Help her to resist his lies, not your Truth. You’ve given her the victory through Jesus, and that victory is realized when she wars not against people, but against her true enemy. Open her eyes to see what you want her to see, open her ears to hear what you want her to hear, and open her heart to receive all that you have for her to receive. I pray she continues to fight the good fight of faith. Help her not to lay down her spiritual weapons, but take them up, as you teach her hands to war. Help her to never surrender to the enemy, but to stay completely surrendered to you. In Jesus name, Amen.”

(Read Ephesians 6:10-18)
