A Special Message

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” Romans 6:23, ESV.
At the beginning of the year, we released a devotional entitled, “A Year of Reward”. In that devotional, we shared how in this year God would bless the faithful and the obedient. It was a prophetic word that God revealed to my husband and I shared it with you as we rejoiced and thanked God for blessing His people. This has truly been a year of reward for us and we are thankful. However, the LORD began to deal with me and speak to me regarding this word. He said to me, “You did not tell them everything I told you to say.” And I repented with tears. He said, “I reward the faithful and the obedient with blessings beyond anything they can ever imagine or hope for, but I also reward the unfaithful and the disobedient. I reward them too, but it’s not the kind of reward they will want.” He told me to tell you that just because you haven’t reaped the consequences of living a sinful lifestyle doesn’t mean He has let you off the hook. He is being merciful and He is giving you plenty of time to turn to Him.
Unless you fear the LORD and stop playing games, you will eventually reap serious consequences that will impact generations long after you. I say it again, just because you haven’t reaped the consequences of your sinful lifestyle doesn’t mean God has let you off the hook. He is being patient and He is being merciful because He is waiting for you to make a quality decision to receive the LORD and live for Him.
Prayer: Jesus, please forgive me. I’m sorry for the way I’ve been living. I turn away from sin right now and I turn to you. I welcome you in my heart and in my life. Deliver me and set me free. Show me how to live. I choose you, LORD. Help me glorify you with my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
(Read James 5:7)

  1. As always right on target. Thank you. All year I have been playing games with my health and God has truly been patient and merciful. The time has come, however, to stop blaming everything and accept responsibility for the game. My punishment could easily be not seeing my child grow into the man God intends him to be and nit seeing my grandchildren. Thank you for this wake up call right when I needed it the most.
