And then the angels say, awwwwwww!

“Then a voice came from heaven, “You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased” Mark 1:11, NKJV.

I know you still have a long ways to go, but I want you to pause for a moment and think about how far God has brought you. Think about how strong He’s made you, and how much you’ve learned. Think about how much your faith has grown. You have come a long way my sister, and if I could give you a fist bump, I would! You may not be where you want to be, but thank God you are not where you used to be.

Any good parent celebrates every amount of progress their daughter makes. They take pictures of her taking her first steps, her first day at school, her first date, her first day of college. They are always celebrating her life and progress. Your heavenly Father is no different. He is celebrating YOU and your progress in Him!

Imagine Him telling everyone, “Come and look at My daughter! Look at how much she’s grown! Look at her taking steps and moving forward in life. Look at her digging into My Word to discover My purpose and plans. Look at My baby girl growing and learning how to trust Me. I am so pleased with her…” And then the angels say, awwwwwww!

I tell you this, if our Father God and His angels rejoice every time one sinner repents and comes to know Jesus Christ as LORD, why wouldn’t they keep the party going for every amount of progress you make in Him (see Luke 15:10)!

Prayer: Father, I love how you encourage my soul. It blesses me to know that you are celebrating me. Even though I still have a lot of growing to do, thank you for helping me see how far I’ve come. Help me learn to smile and celebrate right along with you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  1. This devotional blessed me today Because, God loves us despite of our mistakes. He gives us a second chance when we fall and I thank God that his love never changes and he still remains the same God.
