Arise, Daughter

Posted on Posted in devotions

“…Then the Lord said to Him, Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.” Acts 9:6b (KJV)

Anything can trigger memories of a past experience. A familiar street, a house, a particular smell, or even an old song can send a flood of memories rushing to your mind. These familiar things won’t let you forget. So how do you move on when you are constantly reminded of things you would rather forget? You receive the comfort and strength of Jesus and His Spirit. He will help you rise from the place you’re in. He will help you put one foot in front of the other. He will help you run. He will help you soar. When you are determined to press on no matter what has happened in your life, God propels you forward and becomes the wind behind you. Be thankful for today for His amazing grace and His abundant love that He has for you.

Prayer: Father, You are truly amazing.  I thank You for Your grace and Your love. Help me rise up from this place and move forward. Help me run and soar. Jesus, you are my joy.  Comfort me by Your Holy Spirit. Be the wind behind me, pushing me into my purpose and call. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A sincere thank you to our Daughters of the King Daily Devotional Writers.
