Avoid the Trap of the Enemy

Posted on Posted in devotions

“Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.” Psalms 124:7

A snare is a device used to catch prey. Usually bait is set secretly in places to lure a subject into the device.

Upon waking up, the LORD spoke to me and said, “Tell My daughters to avoid the trap of the enemy.”

You know in your heart what bait the enemy has set before you to try to lure you in. The bait feels good. It looks good. It sound good. But it’s a trap, and the LORD is telling you to not fall for it. The LORD is your deliverer, and the key to maintaining your deliverance is keeping an open eye to the plots and schemes of the enemy. Do not be ignorant his devices. He can’t force you into anything, all he can do is seduce you, and before you know it you’re caught in something that only God can free you from.

You were meant to soar like an eagle, not be ensnared like prey.

Prayer: Father God, thank you for speaking to me. I hear your voice. Help me God to see the traps of the enemy a mile away. Help me not to be ignorant of what he’s trying to do. You are my deliverer. Help me to maintain my deliverance that I received through Jesus. Open my eyes to see and my ears to hear. I rebuke every seducing spirit and I choose to keep my heart and mind stayed on you. In Jesus name, Amen.

(Read 2 Corinthians 2:11)
