“These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.” (Revelation 17:14 KJV)
It is comforting to know that God is faithful. He is faithful to His promises. He is faithful to forgive. He is faithful to not allow you to be tempted above what you are able to handle. What a faithful God! Aren’t you glad you serve a God that can be counted on? Aren’t you glad He is always there when you need Him the most? If faithfulness is a characteristic of God, it should also be a characteristic of His children. We should be the most faithful people in the world. Yet, we are not. We stop praying when God doesn’t answer our prayer. We hop around from church to church. We are quick to leave people when things aren’t going our way. We leave, we divorce, we abandon, and we head for the hills. We claim to love a God who is faithful, yet we display unfaithfulness. Hypocrites! If God is truly our Father, let’s imitate Him. He expects faithfulness of His children. Don’t shout and rejoice about God’s faithfulness if you are not going to also be faithful to Him and others. Be a faithful wife, a faithful mother, a faithful friend and a faithful servant of Christ. Be a woman that’s loyal, dependable, and true and you will display the character of your Father.
Prayer: Father, forgive me. I repent for any unfaithfulness I have shown towards You and others. You have been so faithful to me and I am so grateful. Thank You for showing me the true meaning of faithfulness. Help me learn how to be loyal, dependable, and true just like You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
