Be willing to go first.

“For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure” Philippians 2:13, NKJV

God wants to widen your sphere of influence. He wants to accomplish in you the same thing He plans to accomplish in others. You must first let Him work in you. Let Him free you, stretch you, help you overcome and grow you. Let Him demolish what’s not like Him and build what is 100% His character and nature. If you were to see in the spirit what God is doing within you, you would be amazed.

While in prayer with my husband, I saw a widening light. If you were to shine a light on a wall and slowly back away from it, you’ll find the light widens. The circle widens. Likewise, the more you back away from this world’s way and draw closer to the Lord, the wider your influence will be. People need to see what the Lord can do in the life of someone totally submitted to Him. Will they see this in you?

I write with tears in my eyes, pleading with you. Be willing to go first. Surrender first. Be delivered first. Let God do the hard work in you and set you free first. That’s what a true leader does. They step out of the boat while others watch on. They take the leap and watch God create in them the wings they need to fly.

Prayer: Father God, thank you for speaking directly to my heart. I want you to change my family, so I pray you change me first. I want you to change everyone I hold dear and help them see how good you are, change me first. I’m stepping out of the boat so they’ll see that you didn’t let me drown. My God, I’m taking the leap so they’ll see that you didn’t let me fall. You helped me soar. Thank you Lord that what you’ve done in me, you will do in so many others. That’s your promise to me and I thank you for it. Widen my sphere of influence Lord as I draw closer to you. I love you with all my heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
