Being Confident…

Posted on Posted in devotions

Do you believe the work that God has begun in you is good? Do you even believe that He has begun a work in you at all? Let alone good? I struggled with this one because I know who I used to be; insecure and afraid. I hung around people who I thought were confident because I felt that I lacked it, only to find out that they were insecure too. Confidence doesn’t have an appearance. You can look confident on the outside while shrinking in dreadful fear on the inside. Confidence is seen by our actions not by our appearance. I came to realize that in Christ I was more confident and bolder than I had realized. In this day and time you have to be confident. You have to know you are the right person for the job. Confidence comes when you are convinced regarding something. When you know the truth you can be confident and rest in assurance and peace. Insecurity and fear comes when you have false information or are unsure about the validity of the information you have. God has begun a good work in you and you are the right woman for the job. His promises are true. His plans regarding you are unstoppable! His Kingdom is unshakable! His love for you is immeasurable!

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” Philippians 1:6 (KJV)

Dear Father,

Thank You for reminding me today of the work that You have begun in me. You always finish what You start and You have finished what You have started in me through Jesus. All I have to do is stay on course and remain available to be used by You. Thank You for helping me see who I am in You and who You are in me. I pray I keep it at the forefront of my heart and mind. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A sincere thank you to our Daughters of the King Daily Devotional Writers.
