Many have heard the Clark Sisters’ gospel hit, “Blessed and Highly Favored.” With powerful lyrics that read: “It could have been me, It should have been me, if it wasn’t for the blood,” we are encouraged by the testimony of someone who made it through. Yet, when difficult times arise in our own lives, it is easy to forget just how favored we are by God. Isaiah 61:4 reads: “They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated…” (NIV), which describes an appointed time God designated for His people to be restored and renewed. Just as the calendar seasons change to produce life cycles of growth, preparation and renewal within the earth, we experience seasons in life to support our spiritual growth. Often, God is seeking to build a closer relationship with us, in preparation for the season ahead. Your current season has an expiration date. For every storm and cold night you endure, there is a season for sunshine nearby. Our strength, our wisdom and our faith are built within these seasons, revealing the awesomeness of God’s perfect design for our blessed and highly favored lives. Be encouraged!
“For whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the Lord.” Proverbs 8:35
Thank you for allowing all things to work for my good. Help me to keep my heart and my mind on you when I experience challenging times and to gain the insight you are intending for me to have as I move forward in you. I thank you for allowing me to have a testimony to share with others and I am thankful for the relationship I have with you because of all I have experienced. I proclaim that I am blessed and the favor of the Lord is upon me. I will not be persuaded by the circumstances to think anything differently. Thank you for your constant love and protection.
In Jesus Name I Pray, Amen.
