“And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.” Luke 1:45
Whatever you are facing in life, you will need courage in believing. You may have been the wildest sinner on the planet and while you are now serving the Lord, people are not willing to let you forget who you used to be. You will have to have courage in believing that you are not the same person, but you are forgiven and are made new in Christ. You may have been given a short time to live due to an illness. While the doctors may have given up on you, you will have to have courage in believing in the healing power of your God and appropriate by faith your healing. You may have made many mistakes, you may feel like you don’t know enough, like you’re not good enough, or you may feel like you don’t pray or read enough. You must have courage in believing God’s love for you is not performance-based, but He loves you simply because you are His daughter.
There are people who are only Christian in name only. They really don’t believe what the Bible says about them. What makes us believers is our constant faith in God and our dependence on Him for everything we need. Thank God for doctors, but our faith isn’t in a doctor, it’s in God. Thank God for government, but our faith is not in worldly systems, it’s in God. Thank God for personality and gifts, but our faith and confidence is not in ourselves, it’s in God. Have courage in believing in the Lord. He is Who He says He is and He will do what He said He will do for you.
Prayer: Father, I thank You that You are my God. You are great and mighty. You are the only true and living God. No one compares to You. Thank You for Your life in me. Thank You for redeeming me and putting Your Spirit within me. Teach me how to live by faith courageously. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
