“And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.” Mark 9:47
If your eye offend you, pluck it out. In other words, anything that causes you to sin, cut it out of your life. That can include a bad relationship, an activity, a tv show, a website, a book, anything. Don’t say, “I’ll just learn to do it in moderation”, “I can control it”, or “I’m strong enough to handle it”. Whatever and whoever causes you to sin, cut it off. Don’t play around with it. The enemy wants to ruin lives and he will use something we think is small to try to bring great ruin to our lives. When you pluck out something, it may hurt for a moment, but you will be better off without it. Cutting off a relationship that is a bad influence in your life may hurt at first, but in the end you will be glad.
Those who are in training for a marathon race, can’t do what others do. They can’t eat what other people eat. They can’t do it or they risk losing the race. Any woman who plans to fulfill her destiny must learn how to set herself apart from the world. You can’t do what everyone else is doing, you have a purpose to fulfill. You can know when God has greatness in mind for you, because He’ll begin to change your diet, change your relationships, change your music and movie collection, and completely change your habits. Many women cry out to God for Him to use them, then God begins to deal with them about change, and they run away. Do you want to fulfill your purpose? Do you want to be blessed and used to be a blessing? Be sanctified and set apart. Change your habits. Renew your mind. Have a different spirit. Daniel and his friends stood out from the rest. They had a different spirit and different habits, and God was able to use them in a great way.
Prayer: Father God, I want to be fit for Your use. I pray You help me get in shape. Change me from the inside out and sanctify me. The areas of my life that I need to cut, I receive Your strength and wisdom to make those changes. Be glorified in my life and bless me and use me to be a blessing. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
