Delight yourself in the Lord!

“Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” Psalms 37:4 KJV

What are you pursing after? What is your heart desiring? Wealth, new job, promotion, or God’s peace and joy in your current situation or position? God’s word says if He takes care of the birds, how much more will He take care of us? Cast your cares upon Him. Once we receive the revelation that God desires the best for us and loves us unconditionally, we can learn to seek Him.

Once I learned to place every day, every person, need and situation in His hands, that is when I was able to receive of His love, peace, and joy. Rather than worrying, delight yourself in the Lord! Rather than allowing your flesh to rise up, allow the Holy Spirit on the inside to rise up!

Prayer: Lord, help me to see myself as you see me. Your word says I am a lender and not a borrower. I am the head and not the tail, above and not beneath. Lord, help me to hunger, thirst and pursue your purpose and direction for my life. Fill me with your Holy Spirit so I may be filled with joy and peace that this world cannot take away. In Jesus name Amen!

(Read Luke 12:22-31; 1 Peter 5:7)
