Desperate Enough To Believe

“He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” Mark 5:34 (NIV)

Have you ever been in a room filled with people yet you felt so alone as if no one present could really see you? Well, you are not alone; and there is a God who sees you. You do not have to carry your burdens alone. You do not have to pretend that everything is okay when you are around others. Tell God about it. God has promised to take our burdens as his own because he cares for us. His only requirement is that we surrender them to Him and believe that His answer is in our best interest. There was a woman with an ‘issue of blood’ who spent all her money and resources in an attempt to fix her own issue. For twelve years, she trusted promises that were broken and followed remedies that made her condition worse. She was desperate to be healed but her faith was in the wrong place. Yet one day, someone told her about a Man who was a Healer for those who believed in Him. So she chose to put her trust in Jesus and believe that He would heal her. This woman believed in Jesus so desperately that she knew that even if she could not get to Him to tell him her problem-a simple touch of his garment would be enough. “He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” Mark 5:34 (NIV)

Our Father who art in Heaven, there is someone who is in pain right now. The doctors have diagnosed them based on what they can see alone. But Lord, we know you as Jehovah Rapha, Our Healer. With one touch, all health can be restored. With a Word, illness has to flee! Your word alone is Holy. Your Word alone is enough. Increase our faith in you Father so that our testimony will bring glory to your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
