devotions

Imagine it, then pursue it.

January 23, 2019

When all you’ve known is a life of destructive habits, destructive mindsets, and destructive environments, it can be very difficult to see yourself living a victorious life in God. Because you can’t see it, you need God to teach you how to live. If you don’t reach forward into fulfilling your purpose, you will default to who you once were. It is a fear of the unknown that holds us back and hinders us from pursuing God with reckless abandonment. What does it look like for you to overcome and let Him have His way in you? What does it look like for you to live victoriously? What does it look like for you to walk in your purpose?

Imagine it, then pursue it.

You have not scratched the surface of the vision and purpose God has for your life. You have only tasted a portion of the kind of life He wants to give you. I encourage you to go hard after God. What great things you are capable of doing for God’s kingdom when you focus all of your attention on Him.

Prayer: Father, I am speechless at Your love for me. You love me and I humbled. All I’ve known is a destructive life. Help me not turn back in fear to what’s familiar. Help me to go hard after you, and your purpose for my life. You’ve forgiven me and now be glorified in me. In Jesus name, Amen.

God, I just ask you to stay beside me Lord God! Lead me down the path you desire for me to go. Help me to gain understanding of my fears, but yet use them to my better advantage, to make it through the “battles” (lessons) you have for me!
      In Jesus name
      Amen!🙌🏽❣️

I don’t know what Bible you all are reading but it isn’t the Holy Bible. We are not to live by good works. The purpose of your life is to have a spiritual walk with Jesus Christ ,son of God.Guided by staying in His word from the King James Version of the Bible and by the Holy Spirit,to Seek His face , to turn from sin.,to live a holy life, that is a Christians purpose.Scrpture says you can’t get to heaven by WORKS!!
!If you are looking for purpose other than getting as close to HimJesus Christ then you are starting out on the wrong foot..If you read all these new age Bibles or translated Bibles
they are interpeted. The enemy,Satan, the devil will use anything to trick.you a word a phrase, other people you know who he (Satan )already has obtained their souls..I read yesterdays and today’s devotional those of you following this are headed in the wrong direction. This is not the word of God or even how it sounds. Its easy because you don’t really have to invest anything but service to other people and in the end lose your soul & all eternity. This web site is a oath straight away from God the Father in Heaven, any teachings by Jesus Christ and any guidance sent to you from God through the Holy Spirit.I don’t know who you are but I will pray for you to realize and RUN DONT WALK FROM THESE teachings .If you want to get close to God the Father in Heaven. Listen to Dr.Charles Stanley he is on all kinds of stations hallmark, tbn,ABC on Sunday mornings.A girl.has my son following this page and he has always had good sense about this stuff but now he is acting like a fruit loop.Seriously thinking of making some very bad choices that land him in jail for life or dead.!!!!!!!

I found a few scriptures, what the bible had to say about works.
        Matthew 5:16
In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
        Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
        James 2:14-17
What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
        Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
        James 2:26
For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.
        Colossians 3:23-24
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
        James 2:18
But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
        Hebrews 13:16
Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.
        Galatians 6:9
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
        John 6:28-29
Then they said to him, “What must we do, to be doing the works of God?” Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”
        1 Timothy 6:17-19
As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.
        James 4:17
So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.
        Proverbs 3:27-28
Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it. Do not say to your neighbor, “Go, and come again, tomorrow I will give it”—when you have it with you.
        Romans 2:6-10
He will render to each one according to his works: to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life; but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury. There will be tribulation and distress for every human being who does evil, the Jew first and also the Greek, but glory and honor and peace for everyone who does good, the Jew first and also the Greek.
        1 Corinthians 16:14
Let all that you do be done in love.
        Titus 1:16
They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work.
        2 Corinthians 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.
        2 Timothy 3:17
That the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.
        Titus 2:14
Who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.
        John 14:15
“If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
        Hebrews 10:24
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,
        Hebrews 6:10
For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do.
        Titus 3:8
The saying is trustworthy, and I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed in God may be careful to devote themselves to good works. These things are excellent and profitable for people.

Hi Lee, I forgive your words. This ministry is God-Ordained and every devotional that I release is Scripture-based and prayed over before it’s released. The countless number of testimonies shows what God has used this ministry to do. I pray God blesses you and blesses your son with an abundance of grace and wisdom.

What are you talking about Lee? All the posts I’ve are on point. Faith without works is dead, I can post a lot of scriptures here so you can see that God is telling us that our job is to love Him w all our hearts and to spread the Gospel to go and make disciples.. He says love others you love yourself, know how much God loves you so you can love yourself and others, when you love someone (like God) you will want to serve Him to please Him to do His will. We know that we are not saved by works.. But by obeying the Holy Spirit who leads us. If you love Me keep my commands. I’ll post the scriptures. Remember you can’t be in a relationship w someone and not doing for each other it’s the same w God. But you do it bc He leads you too.

      • Reply Elizabeth January 26, 2019 at 10:05 am

James 2:19 even the devils believe & tremble
James 2:24 for as the body w/out the Spirit is dead so faith w/out works is dead also.
James chapter 2 explains it well.

Daughter’s of the King founder I admire your relationship w God and how wonderfully He’s using you, thank you for this app and all that you do for the Lord.
I don’t know if you read these or respond to them but I just felt lead to write what I’m going through here in hopes of at least whoever reads this may please pray for me and of course for every sister here and all God’s chosen ones.
I’ve been pressing in hard for the last month hard, getting deep in His word, prayer, fasting as much as I can, been asking, believing, seeing myself in the little house I want seeing my business prospering, claiming it, redirecting my thoughts when doubt comes in, been telling everyone God’s going to come through He is!!!
Now, I have less then a week to move, no big orders on my online shop enough to move, and I go outside to go to the Post office and my car is gone! Obviously towed for expired tags I couldn’t afford to pay.
I have no choice but to text my ex who I see as my best friend bc he’s been there for me almost 20 years, except that if I don’t eventually sleep w him he stops helping me, he claims to be in love w me that I’m the love of his life, yes he treats me like a princess But.. he’s not on fire he’s more of a Catholic type of guy. Long story short, I gave in and said I’ll marry him and right away he said he’ll help me new car, home everything. Everyone in my family has always told me he the one but I’ve always pushed him away bc many yrs ago he cheated so I don’t fully trust him but more than that he’s not on fire and didn’t believe in getting filled w the Spirit and I’m a Jesus freak, I feel God took away everything from me my home, car, slowed down my orders to limit me financially to get me in this situation where I would have no other choice but to call my ex, bc I will not be homeless especially without a car. So I’ve been thinking God must be telling me he’s the one! But I find myself heartbroken afraid of falling away from the Lord not completely I would never backslid but like I will have to tone it down or have problems w my ex. Why would GOD want me w him if he’s not on fire? Everyone says I can help him get there etc that God’s using me to help him spiritually while he helps me financially, idk about all that but I’ve been so devoted to God idk why this is happening my only understanding of it is that God wants me w my ex.
I only have 3 days left here please sisters pray that God intervenes and makes clear to me what to do, thank you and God bless you all abundantly!

Oh Lord Jesus, this woman who so desires you in her life and now in her husband’s life, show them your love and the path You have for them, l ask, Father, that like the children following Moses in the desert and how with time on their hands, defected but you still dealt with them, show Elizabeth and her husband how loving and kind you are, You are the way the light and the truth, you, Father, have plans for them that they don’t know of yet, You, Father, know their thoughts, help your thoughts become their thoughts, Your ways become their ways. Bless them with all the things You have for them and give them rest, in the name of your precious Son Jesus, l pray.

I’m not even sure why I read the comments this morning, because I typically don’t. However, after reading yours… I can tell you with 99.9% positivity that is not God’s will for you. My God, not my ex-husband, will supply all of your needs! It is not God’s will for us to be unequally yoked. If he is bribing you in order to get you to sleep with him eventually oh, he is not right with God. You are not a rehab facility. It is not your responsibility for him to have a relationship with Christ. It is his. Nothing is going to change upon marriage. People Are People. Unless you have someone in your life that is fasting and praying on your behalf regarding marrying this man, I would not take any of their advice. God will meet your needs even if it is in the eleventh hour and 59 minutes. Please! Please! Take this to the father, and leave it there! HE WILL answer your prayers, I promise! Fast and pray today and ask God to give you the money and provisions you need to get your car back, or get a new one! And know that he takes from the wicked to give to the righteous too. So even if he uses your ex to make provisions for you, that DOES NOT mean that he wants you to go back to him! The people telling you that are not speaking from a biblical perspective! Your Spirit KNOWS this relationship is not of God! Don’t fight it! The enemy wants to distract you and cause doubt and confusion! If he can get you to walk off the path in life that God has for you, he can get you to walk away from your purpose and your destiny! I feel it so strong otherwise I would not be typing all of this out to a complete stranger! I hope I have not offended you! I speak this truth in love my sister! Don’t put a comma where God put a period.

This comment is spot on!! I can testify of the provision of God coming through at a lastminute.com intervention. As a single mum l went through an abusive marriage. I was left in debt to my eyeballs BUT my God came through like a boss!! To cancelling 4 years of school fees for my children, allowing my ex-father in law to pay off the mortgage of my house by giving me a BLANK Cheque, to now been the owner of my own business – yes GOD CAN DO IT ALL!!! Trust him and throw yourself at his feet.
My divorce was the best thing that happened to me because l have a love for Christ that is so intense – nothing else can ever replace this joy. Praying that you will listen to all the good advice given 🙏🏽🙌🏽

WOW. This post was written for me! 4 years ago to the date I suffered a major setback with my anxiety and health. It took almost a year of constant prayer and worship to be free from it. Fast forward to this past Monday- The enemy tried to attack me again with a major panic attack and fill my heart up with fear. The anxiety cane back full force but our God is greater and I WILL overcome it again.
