Don’t fall for it!

“Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” 1Peter 5:8-10, ESV

Being in the arms of another man is a lie.
Returning to an old addiction is a lie.
Stealing items in a store is a lie.
Trying to drink your cares away is a lie.
Killing someone that cheated on you is a lie.
Getting pregnant to keep a man is a lie.
Ruining someone’s reputation to make yourself look good is a lie.

The lies of the enemy are endless. His tricks and schemes are like an appliance that we buy and bring home, hoping it will do what it advertised it will do–it never works, it never satisfies and it never makes life better! Don’t play his games and don’t fall for his lies. Resist temptation as soon as it raises it’s ugly head. Don’t go down that road.

Yes, God is All Powerful and Almighty, but don’t be a fool and underestimate the devil. You’re no match for him without the strength of God. If you let him, he will rob you of your life and everything you worked hard to achieve. He isn’t satisfied until he destroys it all, your relationships, your health, your ministry, your heart and your soul. If we play games with him, we will always lose.

Only in Jesus are we safe! Only in Jesus do we have victory! He is our Light and our way out of every tempting situation. Let Him help you fight and win. Let the Holy Spirit empower you by calling on the Lord and surrendering to Him.

Prayer: Father God, I surrender to you. Only in you am I safe. I receive your strength and the authority I have in Jesus. You are my God and I yield to you. Forgive me for everything I’ve done knowingly and unknowingly. I rebuke the enemy and reject his lies. Help me God to resist temptation. Help me to live in your truth. Break every stronghold off of me by your anointing and help me to run unhindered. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
