Don’t Forget His Benefits

Posted on Posted in devotions

“Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” (Psalms 103:1-5 KJV)

Has God ever forgiven you?  Has He ever healed your mind, your body, or restored your relationships?  Has He redeemed you?  Has He ever answered your prayers?  If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then sister, you are blessed!  There are people in the world who long to be forgiven, who desire to experience health and restoration, and people who have never experienced the redemptive power of God.  However, if you have, you are blessed by God!  To be blessed means that you are happy, admirable and enviable.  It means people look upon you and say, “God is good to her!”  However, sometimes we forget just how good He has been.  The enemy enjoys causing God’s people to think about everything that’s not going right, and what God hasn’t manifested yet in our lives, but don’t sit and dwell on that! Don’t be overcome by worry and begin to complain.  Don’t forget all His benefits.  The Spirit of God will always lead you to think on God’s goodness.  Why?  Because He knows if you continue to think on the goodness of God, joy will rise in your heart and you will be strengthened.  You also will give God room to bless your life so much so that your youth will be renewed like the eagles!

Prayer: Father, You have been so good to  me and I thank You.  You have forgiven me, healed me, restored things to me and redeemed me by the blood of Jesus.  I have so much to be thankful for!  Thank you Lord for everything you’ve done and continue to do in my life!  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A sincere thank you to our Daughters of the King Daily Devotional Writers.
