Don’t Get Saved and Become Soft

Have you ever had the urge to fight? When you were young, you may have had to fight to get home from school, or fight to keep your lunch money, or fight to protect your siblings. Some of us have a long history of being brawlers who refused to be bullied or punked by anyone. Well, when you come to know the Lord, your fists and weapons will no longer do you any good. You need spiritual weapons to fight a spiritual war against a real spiritual enemy. Don’t get saved and become soft. A pushover by the enemy. Let the Devil know that you are no pushover. Use the Name of Jesus. Plead the blood Jesus. Speak the words of Jesus. Walk in the authority that you have in Jesus. You can’t beat the enemy with your fists and your neck swerving attitude. The only thing that overcomes and makes you victorious over the enemy is your faith in God!

God is strong, and he wants you strong. So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. This is no afternoon athletic contest that we’ll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels.” Ephesians 6:10-12 (MSG)

Ok Father,
I’m ready! I’m tired of seeing the enemy operate in my life and in the lives of those around me. You didn’t accomplish all that You did through Jesus for me to sit down in defeat. I want to get in the fight but I realize this fight isn’t physical. It’s spiritual. It can’t be won with arguments, or my fists or with my attitude. It can only be won by my faith in You. I choose to fight the good fight of faith today! In Jesus Name, Amen.
