Don’t Run From God

Posted on Posted in devotions

Don’t run from the life God has called you to live. Don’t run from your purpose, your gifts, or away from living a life of faith. Don’t run from sacrificial love and laying your life down so that those around you can be blessed by what’s in you. Rather than running from what you know God has called you to do and be, embrace it. Embrace His plans for your life. Embrace Him. You won’t be happy or fulfilled until you say, “yes” to God and “no” to the enemy. You can live 70 years in defeat, running from God, and suddenly choose to embrace God’s plan for your life and go on to live the rest of your days in total and complete victory and faith. But why do that? Live everyday of your life in hot pursuit of seeing the purposes and plans of God fully manifested in your life.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT)

Father,
I embrace Your call on my life and Your divine plans for me. I can’t pretend like I’m happy when I’m not maximizing my potential and using the gifts You have given me. To be honest, it’s miserable. I know there’s more You have for me to see and do. So I let go of the past, let go of fear, and embrace You completely. In Jesus Name I Pray, Amen.

A sincere thank you to our Daughters of the King Daily Devotional Writers.
