Don’t stop believing.

“Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die. But he said to her, You speak as one of the impious and foolish women would speak. What? Shall we accept [only] good at the hand of God and shall we not accept [also] misfortune and what is of a bad nature? In [spite of] all this, Job did not sin with his lips.” Job 2:9-10

Before we judge or criticize Job’s wife, we must understand what she had gone through. These words came from a woman who had lost everything she held dear.  She felt angry, bitter, confused, alone and hurt and now she was at a point of losing faith in God. Even though Job was hurting too, he remained faithful to God and tried to encourage her to do the same, but she just couldn’t see past her hurt. God is saying to every hurting person in His body today, “Fear not. Only believe. Believe Me. Believe in Me. Don’t stop believing in Who I Am. Don’t stop believing in who you are in Me. Don’t stop believing in the power of My word. Don’t stop coming to Me and receiving from My grace. Believe.” Don’t deactivate your faith in God. Let what you believe control what you feel, not what you feel control what you believe.

Prayer: Father, help me believe. Forgive my unbelief and anything I’ve said that wasn’t right.  I’m just hurting that’s all. Heal my heart.Heal my mind. Heal my soul, God. Help me stand and hold up my shield of faith.  You are God and I yield to Your Holy Spirit alone. Activate my faith and help me trust in You no matter what I face. I love You. You first loved me and I receive Your help now. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
