Dwell

He that dwells in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalms 91:1

You could be in a wilderness financially, in a storm relationally, and in the red in your business, but no matter where you are in your life, you can be in the secret place of the Most High always. No matter where you are, no circumstance has to remove you from where your spirit chooses to stay. In life, you will face challenges, but those challenges shouldn’t cause you to run away from God. They should cause you to run to Him. There is an enemy that would love for you to stay distant from God. He can try to accuse you and make you feel worthless, but you must be determined to stay in the secret place. Abide there in your heart. Knowing that God is with you. God has promised that He will never leave you. Never. The problem is, you can leave Him. You can choose to leave the secret place and go dwell in depression, dwell in self-pity, dwell in grief, and dwell in fear and doubt. Those places in your heart weren’t built for your new born again spirit to dwell in. All of the rich promises of Psalms 91 are dependent upon whether you will obey the first two verses and dwell in God. You must choose to stand up and say, “No matter what I face, I refuse to leave my God’s side. I may be in hell in my situation, but I will not be in hell in my spirit and soul. I identify with who I am in Christ and I receive the love and peace of Jesus. I run to God and I am safe. He is my refuge, my God, and in Him I put my trust!”

Prayer: Father, I run to You and I am safe. You are my secret place and I choose to remain in You. I draw close to You and You draw close to me. You keep me safe and You deliver me from the snares of the enemy. No matter what is going on around me, it will not affect the great peace I have within me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
