There has never been a more urgent need in the world for encouragement as today. So many people who face non-stop criticism are feeling extremely discouraged and are fighting not to give up hope. From school teachers to pastors, to leaders and church workers, to mothers and fathers, to husbands and wives, people everywhere are feeling the pressure to quit. Just one word of encouragement can be a source of great fuel for them. Don’t hold back living words that you know can bless your husband, or that teacher, or that church worker, or that child. You may not think your words carry much weight and importance in the lives of those around you, but they do. Let the love of God rise in your heart and cause you to zone in on the spiritual need of others so that you can be used by God to refresh and revive someone’s soul. Tell those around you “you can do it”. Tell them, “you’re going to make it.” Tell them, “I believe in you.” Tell them, “God’s going to be glorified greatly in you” and watch their countenance supernaturally brighten because of your words of life.
“Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.” Hebrews 10:24-25 (NLT)
Thank you for always lifting my head by your word and your Spirit. Now I pray that the same compassion that Jesus operated in fills my heart to overflowing. Cause these rivers of living water to come pouring out of my mouth and into the hearts of those around me. Use me to consistently encourage my husband, my children, my family and friends. I pray no one comes around me and leave still down in the dumps. Grace me to lift the spirit of others way up. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.
