“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10
Enjoyment is in your spiritual DNA. God designed you that way. Often, how we view God is how we ourselves are in life. If you view Him as powerful, you’re probably a powerhouse. If you view Him as compassionate, you’re probably the one that would bring home lost animals on the street. If you view Him as merciful, you’re probably very loving and caring toward people. But what if you began to also view Him as exciting and fun? While we think we may know what fun is, God created it and He knows how to have it. When we get to heaven we will be surprised how fun and enjoyable it’s going to be. Can you imagine seeing Jesus laugh or trying out all of the awesome things your new glorified body can do? It’s going to be great! But we don’t have to wait until we get to heaven to enjoy life. We can enjoy it right now. Maybe your environment is a challenge and has you always on edge. Maybe you feel you can’t enjoy life because of the situations you are facing, but that’s why Jesus came. He came so that you can have life and life more abundantly. Enjoying life first comes from enjoying God. He’s the Source of Life within us that we can draw from constantly. He makes us smile in our time with Him, then we go and make others smile. He came so that He can express His life through us and cause us to be a breath of fresh air to someone, and a ray of hope in a world that doesn’t have hope. Don’t let the enemy spoil your party or make you miserable. Kick him out of your life, kick him out of your thoughts and decide that no matter what you’re facing, you’re going to enjoy the life God has given you. Laugh more. Explore more. Dream more. Give more. Live more. Enjoy your life!
Prayer: Father God, You are awesome! You have blessed me with life and I thank You. Help me enjoy it and live it to the full. Help me be a ray of sunshine and hope to someone. Help me brighten someone’s day and make someone smile. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
