So often we know that God can, but we doubt that He will. We ask ourselves, “Have I loved Him enough?”, “Have I been good enough?”, “Have I proved myself faithful enough for Him to want to do it for me?” Because we are so aware of our faults, our shortcomings, and the mistakes of our past, we may shout, “Amen” to the fact that He can, while we struggle with the fact that He will. Any good father wants to give his daughter a good life. How much more God, our heavenly Father? He wants to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or think. He wants to bless our socks off. He wants to be so good to the point that we will feel like we are dreaming. He wants to bring life to our dead relationships, health to our physical bodies, clarity and soundness to our minds. He wants to cause our children to be blessed and mighty on the earth, and cause our lives to be a testament of His glory and power. He wants to bring our hidden desires to pass and cause us to be extremely happy and fulfilled. He wants us to be overwhelmed with His peace, basking in His love, and bubbling over with joy. He wants our hearts and our lives to be flooded with light. To receive this, we must lose sight of ourselves and look to Jesus who embodies why God can and why He will.
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21 (AMP)
I know You can do great things. I know that You can heal, deliver, and restore. I receive Your love for me and I choose to believe not only that You can, but that You will heal me, deliver me, restore me and be glorified in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
