“See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit.” Ephesians 5:15-18 (KJV)
As daughters of God, we are waiting for the return of Jesus. One day, we will be gone. What must our focus be while we wait on His return? So many of us are focused on the wrong thing, we are sitting down complaining and feeling discontent, when God is saying there is no time to have that wrong mindset. In these last days, our focus has to be right. We must be focused on sharing the Good News. We must focus on serving others, not on being served. We must focus on being a team player, not on what the coach is or isn’t doing. We must focus on being a blessing, not focused on being blessed. When your focus is off, God can give you a right mind and right heart. Don’t go down the path of discontentment. Stay away from criticizing your surroundings. Don’t allow that in your heart. Align your focus with the Lord’s and get busy doing the work He has called you to do. Time is running out. Jesus is soon to return.
Prayer: Father, forgive me of all sin and wash my mind and wash my heart. I receive the focus and mind of Christ and I yield to no other spirit but Your Holy Spirit. I submit to You. Help me to be a team player and to focus on serving others and sharing Your Good News with boldness and love as I look forward to Your return. In Jesus Name, Amen.
