“To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Colossians 1:27
No one can reach the moon without a rocket and an astronaut suit. Nor can anyone expect to live their Christian life in God and reach their full potential without Jesus? It is impossible. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father but by Him. No man can truly live their new life in God but by Jesus. Apart from Him we can do nothing. What many people do is act as though Jesus was the limo driver that dropped them off to the Father. They get out of the car and say, “Thank you Jesus for the lift!” Then they go about their way struggling to live their Christian life. Jesus didn’t just drop you off in your relationship with God, He came to dwell within you and live through you. A struggling and frustrated Christian life is so far beneath your spiritual potential in God. Today, if you will hear His voice, hear Him saying, “Become fully acquainted with My Son that lives within you. So much so, that those around you will see no difference between Jesus and you. ” The greatest faith challenge you will ever face is not for a financial miracle, or for God to save your loved one, or for healing or deliverance. Your greatest test of faith is whether you will believe that Christ lives in you. Yes with all of your faults and failures, Jesus chose you as the perfect dwelling place to operate from. Your old man is dead and your new life is hidden in Christ. If God sees Jesus when He looks at you, you should see Jesus also. Take your eyes off of your failures, off of your past and off of your guilt and shame and fix them on Jesus.
Prayer: Father, I fix my eyes on You. Thank You for Your words to my heart. I receive them and I take heed to Your voice. I believe by faith that Jesus lives in me. My old man is dead and my life is hidden in Christ. I yield to You. Help me to become fully acquainted with Your Son that there is no telling the difference between Him and me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
