“And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him” (1John 5:15, AMP).
I came home one night and didn’t have the door key. Needless to say, my husband whom I love was inside sleeping like a rock. He didn’t hear me knocking on the door like the police. He didn’t hear me ringing the doorbell repeatedly. He didn’t hear me throw a bucket next to the window. That man was completely out. So I yelled to our bedroom window, “Baby, open the door!” A minute later there he was standing at the front door. I asked him, “You didn’t hear all of the noise I was making?” He said, “No”. I asked him, “What woke you up?” He said, “I heard your voice.”
Maybe you’re like me, you’re making a lot of noise trying to get God’s attention. Maybe you’re wondering why He’s not answering you and why He hasn’t changed your situation.
But always remember God hears your voice. He knows what you’re going through and He cares about every detail of your life. He can and will open great doors for you that have seemed impossible. He will open doors in His timing and in His own creative way. He will respond to your voice and to your trust in Him.
Prayer: Father God, I thank you that you hear me when I pray. And if I know you hear me, I know I have what I am requesting of you. In Jesus name, Amen.
