God’s Impeccable Timing

Habakkuk 2:2-3 “Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”

When reviewing the book of Habakkuk, you will find one of the prophets who actually sited tough questions to God. He posed the “when” and “why” types of questions we ourselves may be afraid to ask. God did not harm Habakkuk for his questioning, but actually answered him. God encouraged Habakkuk to live by faith. Many times, you may not understand what God is or is not doing in your life and you begin to question Him rather than live by faith. There are other times when you receive the answer but not necessarily the response you are looking for. Additionally, when you are going to a new dimension in God, you experience a shifting which does not always feel like smooth sailing, but instead a rocket launching into outer space. If the road is bumpy for you right now, know that God is stretching your faith. Don’t give up; live by faith!

Habakkuk’s response of poetic faith declared that although there were many “even though’s” he was witnessing at the time, they carried much less weight than what he did confess to know but could not see. He knew God was sovereign. He knew God was mighty. He knew God cared for Him. He knew he had to carry out God’s plan until the day of deliverance. He knew by faith God would see him through.

When you look back over your life, what do you see and what do you know? I believe you know God has brought you from a mighty long way. I believe you can say, through it all I know I’m a blessed and kept Daughter of the King! Those days may come, but please know that the sun will always shine. Don’t allow the things you cannot see forsake the things you know about the ‘God of all things’!

PRAYER: Dear Sovereign God, I thank you because I know you care for me. Thank you for not letting me remain in darkness but for revealing your marvelous light. Please give me strength to persevere until you answer my prayers. I submit my concerns to You through prayer and supplication. I will make my vision plain and write it down for with You nothing is impossible and I choose to wait on You. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
