“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
I remember when my husband and I were without a car for almost two years. We rode public transportation, rode on a bike and paid for cabs to take us places. While walking one day carrying bags of groceries in my hands, I said, “Lord, we need a car!” He didn’t give us a car, He gave us wisdom.
We were living in the wrong city, trying to make a life for ourselves outside of the will of God. Once we heard from Him and relocated to the place He told us to be, doors began to open, my husband landed a great paying job and within a week we had a car.
God’s provision is in His wisdom.
You may have asked the LORD to meet a need in your life. What He’s going to do is give you wisdom, and in you following His wisdom, He will minister to your need.
Prayer: Father, you are my shepherd, I shall not want. As long as you’re leading me and I’m following you, you will provide and take care of me. More than any need in my life, I ask for your wisdom and your guidance. Show me the way you want me to go. As I receive and follow your wisdom, I know you will supply my every need as you said you would. Help me not to lean to my own understanding, but to trust in you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
