God’s Unending Love

“Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the children of God.” 1 John 3:1, NKJV

Oh the unsearchable riches of God’s divine love. Growing up, I became accustomed to the world and the “types” of love it had to offer. I was shown different types of love from my parents, relationships, friends, and so on. As I grew older, I felt as though I was still searching for a different kind of love and didn’t understand or know why I hadn’t found it yet. There was always a sense of a void in my life. You see temporarily, I felt what I thought was love in different people, places, and things, and that would continue to subside me. Later down the lonely road of self-destruction I found out that there was only “One” person that could complete me. His name is Jesus. God loved me so much that He gave His only Son to come and die just for me. Jesus loved God enough to be willing and obedient to that call. Today I stand here only because of that love, There is nothing that can or will ever compare to it. Instead of allowing me to be condemned to the world and hell forever, I am now made right through Jesus Christ and am a child of God. This is something that can never be fully explained. It is the most beautiful, comforting, fulfilling type of love I have ever experienced in my life. It is an agape (pure and unconditional) love. This love never judges, fails, or condemns me for my faults. It is patient, kind, and nurturing at all times. I am so very grateful I have the privilege to experience this type of love. The best part about it is, it is only a prayer away. May you receive the fullness of it today.

Prayer: Father, so many people don’t know You in this agape type of love. I pray that You will open the hearts of all who read this today and show them just how completing Your love can be. I ask this in the powerful and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
