Good morning my sisters!

Posted on Posted in devotions

Good morning my sisters, after careful consideration, I feel it would be wise to take a break from writing and releasing devotionals for some time. I’ve been doing this for seven years faithfully and I honestly need some rest from it for a while. What has kept me going is God’s grace, my love for you, and understanding the great need for encouragement that we all have, but I can’t pour from an empty cup. I need God to refill me and refresh me. So effective today, there will be no devotionals released or DOTK Lives until Sunday, March 31st. Again, DOTK Ministry will resume on Sunday, March 31st. This will help give me the rest I need and time for God to replenish me. I hope you can understand, and I pray God refreshes you too. Love, Kesha Trippett 💛

  1. I commend you for taking a break when your spirit called to do so. To be mentally fatigued is harder than being physical exhausted..IMO. I feel that whenever we are in a leadership position, we should train someone how to perform the necessary day to day operations in any organization. There should be someone in training, ready to take over, in the case we become frail in body or mind. Each One Teach One! We cannot make it alone in this world and that old saying ” It takes Village ” still stands to be true. There are so many daughters that depend on the daily inspirations and this venue is their safe place. Please continue to pray and ask the Lord for guidance. I pray for you the best in all that do !

  2. I just found this blog and I am looking forward to your return. Rest is essential, fill your cup and be blessed!

  3. Self-care is not selfish. We are called to be stewards for a reason. Self-care is all about being good stewards of our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. I would love and welcome the opportunity to become more than just a daily reader.

  4. What was able to draw my attention to the post more was the 43 comments sitting under it 🙂 but I will lift up a prayer for you sister and I pray that you get the rest and replenishment you need as well. Honestly, I hadn’t been on this devotional for a while despite the fact that it’s a great word that I know is from God EVERY time but simply because I read two other devotional as well so it begin to feel like I was just reading not applying these words/lessons to my life. So, this could not have come at a better time for me as well and I look forward to picking back up with you all upon your return. You’re absolutely right, you can’t pour from an empty cup (Idk us as women try so hard to do this) and it’s ALL about BALANCE. Again, I’ll be in prayer for you sis. Thanks so much for your dedicated service. God bless!!!

  6. 11 The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. (‭Isaiah‬ ‭58‬:‭11‬ NIV) This is my prayer for you! I ha e been so blessed by your devotions. A sweet friend shared with me and I ha e passed them onto other women. May the Good Shepherd restore your soul as He leads you beside peaceful waters and gives you rest in lush green pastures. He only gives you His best.

  7. Continue in your rest! Be strengthened and revived! Let me share a praise report. I wrote in a month ago to ask for prayer for my daughter and daughter in law. They were diagnosed 2 weeks apart with cancer. Today my daughter received a report that she is cancer free. Praise God! My daughter in love is nearly half way through her treatments but we are already thanking God for His goodness on her behalf. Something special happens when we pray. Something special happens when women pray. Please know that you are still in my prayers!

  17. We love you Ms. Trippett!!

You will come more at peace, better annointed, refreshed, and excited after your time alone with God. He will fill your cup with an inner relaxation that will have outward benefits. Know that we support and love your decision! Thank you for being a humble vessel for God to pour out the Holy Spirit on you for the world.

  18. Mrs.Trippett,

I can appreciate this because the LORD will have us go to a solitary place to have that ONE on ONE time with HIM ALONE!!! HE did it here on Earth: Luke 5:15-16 KJV,” But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.” People know it’s a Famine in the Land for HIS WORD!!! Take your rest for your Christ’s, your soul, mind and body’s sake (III John 1:2 KJV).GOODBYE Mrs. Trippett and all you Precious Souls of GOD!!!

  20. I believe this is the season of rest for the children of God. I will be praying with you and I look forward to your return. God bless you!!!

  21. I pray that He begins to pour over you a very much fresh anointing over your head. I cannot even begin to say how these devotionals are exactly what I need to hear daily to encourage my faith walk in the Lord after my own personal devotionals and intimacy with His word. God is also God who gives us rest, so rest without feeling guilty. He makes our cup to run over, he will definitely replenish you. Have a blessed resting and replenishing time. Love you in Christ. 1 John 2:20,27

  22. Oh hunny!! Jesus is right by your side!! And we will all be right here when you are ready to continue! Thank you so much for being His faithful steward! In Chris’t love!! May His peace abound!!

  23. Sis. Trippett you are a blessing to so many . Please know that prayers will be said regarding you and this ministry in your time of rest. I want you to know how blessed I am to be able to visit this page and receive a Word from God. I leave with a praise on my lips every time and more knowledge than I’d had before. Keep allowing God to use you in this dynamic way. The word that is spoken is so powerful and brings healing. Be blessed, filled, restored and revived my sister. Until then.

    1. Yes sister I am so blessed by ur devotions all these years .i am from India.i will pray for u for these 35 days as a committed woman of God for ur next higher level in The Lord may The bless u and keep u and shine on u.

  24. Dearest Sis,

We so understand your need for a break! We too are in a very similar situation. We have been encouraging women especially for about five years now. The Lord Has spoken to us a
few times about His desire for this season of this particular ministry to end. But, out of deep emotional ties, we have not obeyed promptly and have hesitated. Your message today beloved Sis was the confirmation that we needed! As the Lord’s vessels we must be as prepared as possible for Him to use us for the assignment (s) He has for us. That means we must, as needed, reposition ourselves and be still so that we can fully receive back from Him all that He desires to give us, both refreshings, new anointings, etc. We shall truly pray for you, Sis, and for God’s perfect will to be done in your precious life at this time. We thank God for you, Sis, and for this necessary ministry, and especially for your obedience! May the Lord continue to order your steps Sis that you shall always walk in for His glory in Jesus’ Name! Amen!!!

  25. Thank you my Sister for your Faithfulness and dedication to the Lord. In EVERY scripture and Word of encouragement you’ve posted God through you has spoken directly to me. There were times I didn’t read the Debotional till the end of the day and BOOM Holy Spirit verified through your writing what He had spoken to my heart that day. FATHER GOD THANK YOU FOR MY SISTER H A L L E L U J A H JESUS!!! May God provide you and your family with ALL you need, more abundantly than you could ever imagine. I will continue thinking about and praying for you. In the Almighty, Precious Name of Jesus! Rest my Sister.

  26. May God give you rest, and RESTORATION. Fill you with his love, grace and wisdom my sister. Give you all you need to be able to use you to lift us. God bless you Daughter of our King

  27. Thank you for all of your dedication to writing the devotionals. I have been truly blessed by them in so many ways. Encouraged, corrected, helped, whatever I needed God gave through you! So to God be all the glory! He has used you to do such a wonderful job! March 31 is my birthday I will be turning 30 God willing!
So I’m excited to see what God has to say to me for that day through you
Rest well, recharge! God bless you and your family!!!

  28. The grace of God will sustain, refill and restore you. We will pray for your strength and refreshing, and thank God for the Mighty vessel you are. In Jesus mighty name!

I pray for you, my friend, that God will give you rest and peace and strength and that He would give you His Word for you during this time of sabbatical.

  31. God be with you and grant you peace. Please know this devotional is the first I turn to daily and I have been blessed throughout the day by it. You are in my prayers.

  32. Kesha! We will surely miss you and your devotionals during this month break, but appreciate your honesty and openness in sharing your personal needs with us. Praying Gods strength and restoration during this break. We love you!
