Have Bulldog Tenacity

Posted on Posted in devotions

So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word.” Hebrews 10:23 (Amplified)

Have you ever seen a bull dog when they have something in their mouth?  They will not let go of it no matter what.  That is what tenacity is.  Tenacity is the quality of being determined to do or achieve something.  It is having the firmness of purpose.  We need to have spiritual bull dog tenacity when it comes to our faith.  We need hold tight to God’s promises regardless of what our eyes may see.  We need to cling to God’s Word regardless of our current situation.  God is faithful.  His Word is true.  His timing is matchless.  “For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.”  Psalms 33:4 (NIV) So, hold steadfast and don’t waver.  For great is the reward that comes from bull dog tenacity.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your promises and I know that You are not a man that You should lie nor the son of a man that You need to repent for what you have told me (Numbers 23:19).   I pray a double portion of tenacity, determination, patience and strength to wait for all the things that you’ve shown me to come to pass.  May my waiting be active and not passive so that I may be doing the things that you require of me to bring this prophecy into fulfillment.  Impart to me a spirit of joy so that I can always wait with hope and without grumbling.  I know that you are able to do exceedingly abundantly more than I could ever ask, think, imagine, dream or hope for (Ephesians 3:20) and I pray that your grace and peace will guard my heart and mind as I wait for your perfect timing.  In Jesus Name. Amen

A sincere thank you to our Daughters of the King Daily Devotional Writers.
