He hears you.

“In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears.”  2 Samuel 22:7

“Lord I feel so frustrated. I just want to be heard. I feel like no one’s listening to me, but I know You hear me. Help me God.” Have you ever prayed this prayer before? Feeling desperate to be heard? More than a desire to be right, you just wanted to be listened to without interruption and really heard and understood. Know this, even in your desire for someone to really listen to you and hear you out, know that nothing compares to God hearing you. He hears you. He hears even what you don’t say. He knows your thoughts. He knows how you feel. He knows you better than you know yourself. When you feel unheard, in your distress you can cry out to Him and He will come to your aid. He will give you comfort and He will give you peace. It doesn’t matter if people understand you or not when you know your Father has heard you. Because He knows how to communicate to a man’s heart, he knows how to get across to your mother-in-law, your father or your child. He knows how to communicate with His creation that He fashioned and designed. So trust Him. Keep the lines of communication open between you and Your Father God and watch Him work on your behalf. He hears you, He knows you best and He’s with you.

Prayer: Father, thank You for hearing me. When I feel like I’m not being heard, You know how to comfort me. When I feel distressed or frustrated, you comfort me.  Help me say only what You tell me to say. And even when you tell me not to say anything, help me obey You. You know me, You hear me, and You are with me. Be glorified in me.  In Jesus Name, Amen.
