“But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” James 1:7 (KJV)
“I love God and I’ve been waiting for a long time. Why am I not married yet? Where is God’s man for me?” Single sister, know that God loves you and He cares for you. His response to you is, “Patience My dear. I Am preparing you.” While you may think God is moving too slow, let God finish preparing you, healing you, growing you and refining you. He will present you to your husband in His perfect timing. Marriage is no play thing. It is serious business that you have to be physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually equipped to handle. So let patience have her perfect work that you may be perfect and entire wanting nothing. The job of a man isn’t to fill a void in your life, or to satisfy all your desires and make you feel complete and good about yourself. You are complete in God. He satisfies you. He enriches you and makes you feel good about you. Impatience can cause us to fall for the imitation that often comes before the real thing. You don’t want someone that looks good and sounds good, but yet something just isn’t right about him. You want someone with a different spirit like Joshua. Someone with a heart for God like David. God can bless you with someone that will fit you like a hand in glove, who will be your bestfriend and your greatest source of support and encouragement. God can give you someone that will love Him more than he loves you and who will love you more than he love himself. Maybe your terrible past has you worried that a good man won’t look your way. Maybe you are willing to settle for whatever you can get. Don’t settle. Don’t believe the lies of the enemy. If Jesus saw you as worth dying for, God has a man that will see you as worth marrying. Receive His word today, “Patience My dear. I Am preparing you.”
Prayer: Thank you Father God for encouraging me. You love me and only want the best for me. I believe I am ready to be a wife to the man You have for me, but help me wait on Your perfect timing. Prepare me for that blessed man and help me recognize when You bring him into my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
