“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)
Isn’t it fascinating to find that our Heavenly Father takes on many names in the Bible? He is Everlasting Father (Isaiah 9:6), Friend (Mathew 11:9), Physician (Mathew 9:12), Redeemer (Isaiah 41:14), Comforter (Jeremiah 8:18) and so much more. Only He can be all these things for us and He uses His children to be various things in His Kingdom. God has created us all unique. He knows what makes us laugh and what makes us cry. He knows our strengths and our weaknesses. It is so important to understand that we do not have to fit into a religious prototype for God to use us. God utilizes our unique qualities and by the anointing of His Holy Spirit, enables us to carry out the plans He Has for us. God needs you to be the way He designed you to be. He is the great craftsmen and He does not make junk! The very thing that makes you different is what God utilizes to serve a specific need in His Kingdom. When we embrace this truth, the Body of Christ can truly be an effective light for this world, with all its members moving in their fullest potential to glorify Him.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for helping me to embrace who I am in You. Keep me humble as You use me to expand Your kingdom and help me to not compare or compete with my fellow believers. Help me to grow in the things of God and to develop a heart to serve others. I desire for You to be the focus in my life and I trust the plans You have for me. I thank You for the boldness to go out and be all that You called me to be. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.
