He’s challenging you to come up higher!

“Don’t hate. Try to live with your neighbor. Accept people for what they are. Everybody has something to offer. Nobody’s better than anybody else.” – Celina Biniaz, Jewish Survivor

Celina Biniaz had every right to be full of anger and hatred due to the pain and suffering she and countless of others experienced during the Jewish holocaust. She survived unspeakable horrors and in her testimony she encourages us not to hate, but to try to live with each other.

Lately, God has had me looking into the lives of people who have experienced great pain and suffering, yet they choose to honor God and display the heart of Jesus. It shows me that God is real. Who is looking at our life, watching our example and seeing our responses and saying, “God is real!”? I am challenged by the Spirit of God to put a greater demand on His grace, because in Christ, we are capable of so much more.

God is challenging us to come up higher. To put a greater demand on His grace. To love God more than our right to be angry and vengeful. To show that our God is real. If Celina Biniaz can do it, so can I. So can you.

“Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.” 1 John 4:7, NLT

Prayer: Father God, thank you for speaking to my heart. I hear you challenging me to come up higher. I accept your challenge. Take me higher in love. I know I can do better, but I need your help. I want to honor you with my life and display the heart of Jesus. I desire with everything in me to show this world that you are real. Let them see your light in me. Help me Lord to glorify you and lift you higher. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
