How are you so strong?

“Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.” Psalms 24:8

I was born premature. My mother would tell everyone, “Don’t play so rough with Kesha, she’s fragile.” I didn’t like being treated like a porcelain doll that could break at any moment, so my entire life, I tried to prove that I wasn’t fragile. I wanted to prove that I wasn’t weak. This mindset caused me to get into a lot of trouble growing up. It wasn’t until I came to know the Lord that God corrected my views. I began to understand real strength comes from the Lord, and if I really wanted to be strong it would have to come through developing a strong and intimate relationship with God.

Today, people ask me, “How are you so strong?” I went from being called fragile and weak, to being called a strong woman of God. Praise the Lord. My response is always, “It’s the Lord. It’s His strength in me.” The more time we spend with God and His Word, the stronger we will be. No time with Him is wasted time. Although it may not appear to be producing anything, God is steadily at work building us from the inside out.

It is your own personal relationship with God that will produce the strength you desire. It won’t come any other way.

Prayer: Father God, thank You for Your word to me. Make me strong. I yield to You and I ask You to build me up from the inside. Correct any false views that I have in my mind. Give me understanding Lord of who I am in You and who You are in me. Deepen our relationship Father. I want to know You better. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
