Humility

“The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom, and before honor is humility” Proverbs 15:33, NKJV.

Humility often comes with an infinite price. It nailed Jesus to the Cross as our “Living Sacrifice”. It stops pride in its tracks and leaves the devil under our feet. It deeply pierces the heart and makes us profoundly unique. Humility opens our eyes to a whole different view. It becomes a reflection of who is inside of you. It cuts the enemy off in the midst of his cunning schemes and enables us to be wonderfully redeemed. It isn’t easy to humble ourselves, because in the flesh we think we are top shelf. When we submit to all of those lies, God opens our mind and makes us wise. At the end of the day, we soon realize that without humility we become paralyzed. So live each day, walking humbly with the Lord in all your ways. His Word is proven true. Be humble before Him and He will always honor you.

Prayer: Precious Father. Thank you for Your perfect timing. Thank you for revealing the truth to me. I humble myself before You now. I have had so much pride in so many areas I haven’t been aware of lately. I submit to You now and humbly ask You to help me let go of these layers of pride so that I may better serve You and Your people. Set me free in Jesus name. Amen.
