I Am Who I Am

“God said to Moses, “I Am Who I Am.” This is what you are to say to the Israelites: `I AM has sent me to you.’”…This is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation. Exodus 3:14,15

When God tells Moses, He is the “I AM WHO I AM.” Moses met the LORD face to face; He knew God to be many things to him because He got to experience God in many situations. He went through with God. He knew God’s character. I began to think about His character and who He is to me – Immanuel, Lord, God Almighty, Jehovah Jireh, Lily of the Valley, Bright and Morning Star, Prince of Peace, Sovereign Lord and Spiritual Husband, but my favorite is Holy. His Holiness seems to encompass all the other characteristics. And as I have gone through many good and tough times with Him, I have learned that “I AM” means He will be whatever we need him to be in any given situation at any time. So, what do you need Him to be for you today– Comforter, Healer, Truth or Friend? Go to God with your need or situation and ask Him to reveal Himself to you and watch Him meet you where you are and be your “Great I AM.”

Prayer: Lord, I want to know you better. Reveal your character to me today, so I may know you more as “The Great I Am.” In Jesus Name.
