I Promise

He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; and being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.” Romans 4:20-21 (KJV)

If you’ve never had a loving father, you may have trouble believing in a heavenly Father that loves you and wants the best for you.  You may only see God as someone that is looking to judge your every move and look for reasons to not bless you.  Your earthly father may have made many empty promises and wasn’t a good dad, but not God.  You can trust in His promises. He can’t be compared to any earthly father you’ve ever seen.  Even the best dads don’t come close to matching how awesome of a Father He is.  You can trust Him with your life.  And even though you may have experienced a million disappointments, hear the Spirit of God telling you today to dare to believe in His promises.  Abraham had to believe in order to receive.  God’s love is unconditional but His promises are not.  You must give Him something to work with and the most awesome thing you can offer to God is your faith and obedience.  For once in your life, dare to believe His promise

Prayer: Father God, thank You. You are the best Father a daughter can have.  Even though people have made empty promises, I choose to believe in Your promises.  I choose to obey You and I trust in You.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
