Hebrews 13:5 (NKJV) — “Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said; “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Throughout life we tend to take on responsibilities that have the potential to utterly consume us. Soon the day becomes bogged down, and feelings of being stressed and overwhelmed take over. We let them go. They come back. We search and seek that peace that surpasses all understanding. The light soon starts dimming, the waters rage. We say, “God, where are you? What’s going on here? I need You now!!!” Suddenly, that still small voice speaks in the midst of it all saying, “I am here My child. I have never left your side. Your feelings are overriding My truth. Look to Me and always know when you stumble, I’ll be there. When you lose your way, My grace will always find you. When the hill seems too steep, My hand will pull you up. When darkness covers you like a blanket, remember Who gave you life and light. When it seems like things will never change, know that there is a World Changer that lives inside of you. As you move in faith…I’ll be there. Never will I leave or forsake you. Never. I was there at your worst, and I will be present with you during My best for you. I’ll be there. Trust Me. I love you.”
Prayer: Father, time after time I try to pursue things on my own. I do forget You are there. Today I am asking You to help me remember You will never leave me. Even when these feelings come up, strengthen me with Your truth. Lift the standard against the enemy so that I may serve You with a pure, brave heart. I love You and desire to be a world changer in You and You alone. I love you. Thank you for never leaving me. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
