It’s Enough

Posted on Posted in devotions
Is your faith enough to get the job done?  Is your love strong enough?  The answer is a resounding, “Yes, yes, and yes!”  So many times we think that our faith isn’t good enough to move the mountain, fix the problem, or heal what’s damaged.  Sometimes we think our love isn’t good enough to share with others.  But God says today, “It’s enough.”  You don’t need sister-so-and-so’s faith.  Your faith works just fine.  Your faith can move the mountain. Your faith can cause a breakthrough in your life.  Your faith can calm the raging seas.  God will come through for you mightily because of your faith.  It is enough.  You don’t need someone else’s loving heart.  You don’t need another person’s compassion.  There’s nothing wrong with the love God has given you.  It doesn’t matter how hard it feels for you to love, the love of Jesus has already been shed abroad in your heart by His Holy Spirit which He already gave to you (see Romans 5:5).  Your love works just fine, and it is strong enough to restore your broken relationship and heal what’s been severely damaged by hurtful words and acts. Your love is strong enough to repair it.  God has given you everything you need that pertains to life and godliness.  Your faith is enough. Your love is enough.  His grace upon your life is enough for you to do great and awesome things!

And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of character (approved faith and tried integrity). And character [of this sort] produces [the habit of] joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation. Such hope never disappoints or deludes or shames us, for God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to us. While we were yet in weakness [powerless to help ourselves], at the fitting time Christ died for (in behalf of) the ungodly.” (Romans 5:4-6 Amp)

Prayer: Father, I know You love me, and because You love me, You have given me everything I need.  Through Jesus, I have the faith I need, the love I need, the grace I need, the power and anything I need to win in life.  Thank You for letting me know this today.  No matter how lacking I may feel at times in these areas, help me to always be reminded of the truth.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A sincere thank you to our Daughters of the King Daily Devotional Writers.
