“It’s Going to Rain” – A Word of Prophecy

“Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month” Joel 2:23, NKJV

Years ago while in prayer, God placed a song on my heart that had me leaping for joy:

I see the clouds forming
I feel drops of water on my head
It’s been a dry season
But that’s about to change
God has told me
It’s going to rain

I sung it over and over again until it was no longer a song, but prophetic words spoken. Two years later, it came to pass and it is still raining in my life.

So it is with you.

It’s going to rain, my sister. What you haven’t been able to do, you will do. The blessing you’ve been desiring to be, you will be. It’s been a dry season, but all of that is about to change. God is promising an abundance of rain. Don’t look down, don’t look around, look up and see in the spirit, the clouds are forming. Feel the drops of water on your head. God is saying, “Be glad and rejoice in Me! For I have given you the former rain moderately, and I will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain.”

Do you receive this prophecy?

Prayer: Father God, yes, I receive! It’s been dry, but I speak by faith and say out of my mouth that it’s going to rain in my life. I will see breakthrough in in every in every area. I will see the opportunities you’ve laid before me and I will walk through the opened doors. I will use the gifts you’ve put in me. I will walk in my purpose and I will be a great blessing. Thank you Father for sending rain! Drench me in you! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  1. Please listen to this when you get a chance. It encouraged me soooo much and I’m sure it will encourage you too. You are not forgotten:

    1. I just finished praying for you my sister and will continue to pray for you. Be encouraged as you read these words. You are not alone my dear sister.

“We think you ought to know, dear brothers and sisters,[b] about the trouble we went through in the province of Asia. We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it. 9 In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead. 10 And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again. We have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us. 11 And you are helping us by praying for us. Then many people will give thanks because God has graciously answered so many prayers for our safety.” (2 Corinthians 1:8-11 NLT).

“So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.” 2 Corinthians 4:18

“Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
8 Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. 9 Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers[a] all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are.
10 In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation. 11 All power to him forever! Amen.” 1 Peter 5:7-11

“So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Come close to God, and God will come close to you.” James 4:7-8

  2. I’ve been in my pit of problems for far too long it has consumed me beating me up and I can no longer look up ….I’m weak and so over it …just had a baby and can’t be a great mother because of it ….I have given up looked everywhere for a solution

    1. My dear sister that feels Broken, God sees you right where you are. He’s got you in the palm of his hands. God hasn’t said he’s done with you yet so it’s not over, dear one. He’s standing right beside you this very moment knocking at the door of your heart (Revelation 3:20). Will you let him in? He has not forgotten or abandoned you. He said can a woman forget the baby she’s nursing at her breast ? Even if she forgets, I will never forget you because you are engraved on the palm of my hand and your broken walls are continually before me (Isaiah 49:15-16). Your only ticket out of the wilderness is to look up. Looking down at your problems will only sink you deeper and deeper. But when you look up to God and reach out your hand in worship and prayer, God will grab your hand and pull you right out of the pit and set your foot upon solid ground and restore your full glory. He will restore to you all the weeks, months and years that the locusts and caterpillars have eaten out of your life (Joel 2:25-32). He will give you a double compensation for all you’ve lost and suffered (Zechariah 9:12, Isaiah 61:7). Return to your prayer place, you will find that he’s been waiting there for you the whole time. Seek him with all your heart and you will find him (Jeremiah 29:13). Do not grow weary in doing the right thing. In time, you will reap a harvest if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). God still has a glorious plan for your life but he needs your cooperation to bring it to life (Jeremiah 29:11). He will give you beauty for ashes and turn your mourning into dancing and give you a new song to sing (Isaiah 61:3, Psalm 30:11-12). Rise up, my dear sister. The devil will not have the last laugh. You will come out of this stronger and better than you ever thought and God will be glorified in you!
