It’s Time to Build Your Wall

Posted on Posted in devotions

“After I looked things over, I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials, and the rest of the people, “Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your families, your sons, and your daughters, and wives, and your homes.” Nehemiah 4:14

Nehemiah was called to build a great wall with his people for his people. God sent him out clearing the way before him. Although the enemy fought against him and tried to discourage Nehemiah and the other builders, Nehemiah did not back down. He had the strength of the Lord with him, he encouraged the other builders with truth and prayer and the protection of the Lord was on them.

You have a real enemy out there! The Lord is calling you to build a strong, sound spiritual wall a wall built on intimacy with Christ. A wall to protect and guard your hearts. He does not call us to stand behind it and coward, but in front on the battle line fighting! Fight for your families, your sons, your daughters, and your spouses, and your homes! If the enemy can destroy those around you and distract you then he can stop you from building your wall and growing in intimacy with Christ.

The enemy will try to disarm you. We are in a battle! A battle for our king, a battle for our families, a battle for our homes! Don’t be afraid! Keep building, keep growing, and FIGHT! Build your wall- A Sound, strong, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ who loves you and did not and has not and will not stop fighting for you. He is calling you!

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I pray for your Daughter who reads this now, that you draw her near to you, Jesus. That you give her strength, your strength to build her wall with you and fight to protect her inheritance. Lord, I pray for courage for your daughters to not be afraid but to know you are with them. You are calling all your children to fight! Jesus, prepare her for battle, arm her with the sword of the spirit, and fit her belt buckle of truth on her waist and helmet of salvation on her head. I pray that she hold her shield of faith protecting her breast plate of righteousness as she stands on your gospel of peace. Father we thank you for all opportunity to stand and grow with you, In Jesus name Amen!
