“But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.” 1 Corinthians 1:30
There’s nothing you can do to deserve God’s favor and goodness in your life. You could live a squeaky clean life and do everything right, and still that wouldn’t be enough. God favors you, and it’s because of no righteousness of your own. Everything you are, everything you have been given, and everything God has done for and through you is because of Jesus.
You could have really messed up and now the enemy is bombarding your mind with thoughts of guilt and condemnation. It makes you not want to pray or do anything for God because you feel unworthy. But sister, the truth is, apart from Jesus we are all unworthy. No amount of sin can cause you to be disqualified for use. It’s all through Jesus that we are who we are and can do anything worth anything for God. Don’t let pride grip you when you’re doing well, and don’t let pride grip you when you mess up. Hide in Christ, my sister, and receive the blessing of peace and righteousness in God. Hide in Christ and receive a new found confidence.
Say out loud with me, “Jesus is my righteousness. I don’t have to work to earn anything. Jesus is my righteousness. I don’t have to fear coming to the Father when I mess up. Jesus is my righteousness. I can be patient with my spiritual growth. Jesus is my righteousness. I am who God said I am, and I will do what God said I will do because Jesus is my righteousness.”
Prayer: Hallelujah! Thank you Father for helping me get this into my heart. I hide in Christ and I receive the blessing. I ask your forgiveness and I thank you for washing me clean through the blood of Jesus. Oh God, I’m so thankful. I love you. Thank you for Jesus, my Savior and my Righteousness.
“And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.” Philippians 3:9
