In the US alone, over 42% of the women population are single. Some are happily single with no desire to marry. There are others who want to find Mr. Right, marry him, sail away into the sunset to the honeymoon, then return to start a family, experience the ups and downs of life, become old, travel the world, love on grandchildren, and eventually kick the bucket with a life filled with great memories. The only issue is, they are having trouble with the first step–finding Mr. Right! Because their entire life is centered around one day being married and having a family, they put their life on hold. Many of them find that their life stays on hold for years and years, and years. What’s the problem? The problem is just that. You can’t place so much emphasis on finding Mr. Right that you stop living. While you wait for God to send you His best for your life, go and live. Travel the world, start a business, get busy serving at your local church, discover your purpose, and begin seeking to fulfill it! Life doesn’t stop for you just because you don’t have a man. Life begins in God! Get lost in Him, so much so to where any man who wants you will have to seek God to find you. There’s nothing more attractive to a man than a woman that is complete in God, living her life to the fullest, and is already happy by herself. Don’t become desperate. Desperation can cause men to either run in the opposite direction or enter your life and take advantage of you. Desperation can cause you to fall for the imitation before the real thing. You don’t want that. So wait on God best! The man He blesses you with will fit you perfectly, like a hand in glove. When it’s your time, God will present you to your Mr. Right and you will be so glad you waited!
“So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.” (James 1:4 MSG)
Prayer: Father, I pray that you bless women all over the world who are desiring to be married. Help them to wait on Your best for their lives. For every woman that feels incomplete, I pray you satisfy every void in their heart and make them complete in Christ. Bless them with a great life while they wait. May life not stop for them, but begin in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
