Launch Out

Posted on Posted in devotions

Has there ever been a time in your life when you came to the realization that you are not producing and moving forward as you know you should? You love Jesus, serve in the church and nothing is happening. There were some fishermen, who toiled all night and caught nothing. They did let Jesus use their boat to minister the Word of God to the people and when he was finished he gave them specific instructions. These instructions were met with unbelief and fake trust demonstrated by partly following the instruction that was given. Well, my sister in the Lord, it is time for you to “launch out into the deep”. There is always another level into God’s Word and fellowship with Him. In that place is where you will receive specific instructions for you to follow to the letter. When you receive these instructions always give God your best. This very act alone is an act of faith, trusting Him that you will receive a draught, which means a catching or a haul. Don’t be like Peter who offered his natural wisdom as a response to why he could not obey Jesus’ command completely. To give the appearance of obedience he let down a net that as a fisherman he knew it was not sufficient for the catch. This became obvious since it broke in attempt to pull the fish in. Launch out into the deep with Jesus. All will be astonished at the catching you will bring in your life for God’s glory.

“Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.” Luke 5:4

Dear Father,

I want to launch out into the deep with You and go the next level of fellowship with You. I am ready to receive Your instructions and will follow them. Teach me by Your Holy Spirit how to continuously launch out into the deep with You as a lifestyle. I thank You in advance for the catch that will be evident in my life as a result of my obedience to You. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.

A sincere thank you to our Daughters of the King Daily Devotional Writers.
