Life From A Distance

Posted on Posted in devotions

I’m always amazed when I fly in an airplane that the earth looks so organized. Straight lines appear at a distance when on land you don’t see any straight lines at all. This is how life can seem. With different challenges I face, I sometimes wonder how God is going to bring order to a life that seems so not where it should be. But then He invites me to come up and see my life from His perspective and I find that in His eyes my life isn’t as disorganized as I may think. There’s a divine purpose for everything: every gift, every friendship, every situation, every challenge, everything has purpose in our lives. And no matter how off target your life may seem, in God’s eyes things are going well according to plan. Our steps are truly ordered of the Lord.

The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.” Psalms 37:23 (NLT)

Father,
I’m so thankful for Your divine order in my life. Thank You for helping me see Your hand in all of this. No matter what it looks like, I trust that things are going according to Your awesome plans. In Jesus name, Amen.
