Live Without Limits

Posted on Posted in devotions

A prevailing occurrence in the world is many of us allow the outside world to tell us who we are, what we can do, and how to live.  We allow the world to tell us how much success we can have based on our experience and level of education.  We allow the world to tell us how many children we should have based on the economy.  We allow it to tell us what we can afford to do based on the amount of money in our bank account.  We allow it to tell us that abstinence is old-fashioned and that cohabitation is okay.  We are so grossly impacted by the world, that we don’t know who we are anymore!  You don’t have to get a car loan; God can bless you with a car with no payments.  You don’t have to live with someone you are not married to because of the poor economy; God is your provider and He will take care of you and your kids.  You don’t have to have thousands of dollars to pursue your dream; all you need is the favor of God and He will make your dreams a reality.  There are no limits to what God can do in your life!  There are no limits to what you can do for His kingdom when you side with His way rather than with the worlds way!

Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. (Romans 12:2 AMP)

Prayer:  Thank you Father for reminding me that I can trust You with my life.  I don’t have to conform to the world and adjust my life according to the world’s standard.  I live according to Your standards and I receive the blessings that come as a result of it.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
